Our Facilities

W.O.K.E. Academy is located on the corner of Manchester Avenue and Avalon Boulevard, just one mile north of Locke High School.

Our state of the art facilities are LEED certified. Environmentally sustainable practices and education are incorporated throughout the school: from the athletic field, which utilizes recycled brown water; to the Tesla SolarCell roof, which provides over 80% of our energy budget; to our new environmental justice and activism program, which teaches students how to get involved with and advocate for environmental equality. The school recently installed a school garden, which we hope will supplement the food provided in our cafeteria -- currently utilizing locally grown, organic produce through our farm share program.
